Schedule for Concurrent Program

[Print-friendly version]

To complement the conference proceedings, the ANZMAC 2006 program will include an exciting social calendar. "Must do" events include the Welcome Reception on Monday 4 December and the Conference Dinner on the last night, Wednesday 6 December. The reception and the dinner are both excellent opportunities to mix socially with your ANZMAC colleagues and enjoy some great Brisbane venues and Queensland hospitality.

Please note venue change: Old Government House, QUT

Welcome Reception

The Welcome Reception takes place at Old Government House, QUT Gardens Point from 5:15pm to 7:30pm

Old Government House is a place of enormous cultural significance and is one of Brisbane’s most important heritage sites. Constructed of porphyry and sandstone in 1862, this building was the home of Queensland's Governor for most of the State's first fifty years, and during this time the governor was a major figure in the day-to-day life of both the Colony and the State. This classic heritage building provides a timeless, elegant setting for hosting and welcoming you to the ANZMAC 2006 Conference.  With sweeping balconies and beautifully manicured lawns on either side, this distinctive venue is in the heart of QUT’s Gardens Point campus. It’s the perfect location to relax after the final sessions of the first day of the Conference

Conference Dinner

The Conference Dinner takes place at the Hilton Brisbane, from 7:00pm for 7:30pm start and until late.

The Conference will close with an evening of celebration and festivities at the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton Brisbane. Located on the Queen Street, the Hilton Brisbane is a premier venue in the heart of Brisbane City. Conference Awards will be presented during the evening. We’re celebrating Queensland style so no need for black tie or ballgown (dress is casual business attire), but bring your dancing shoes for the final fling of ANZMAC 2006.
